This opening is very fitting of the films western genre and sets the mood of the film perfectly.The sounds of gunshots tells the audience that this film will feature lots of deaths or at the least lots of gunfights, the images of the men riding on the horse tells you that there will also be lots of travelling by horse in this film, another convention of the genre.
